The parents of the children attending the pre-school in the premises of the IPSA (International Primary School Almere) can all attest how extraordinary the teachers have been in terms of educating, caring and nurturing our children, but we also understand the financial reasons behind this business decision (less pupils in the waiting list + a high rent), which is why we proposed the current provider, Partou, to consider these alternatives before closing the pre-school:
Starting from September, opening the pre-school with 8 kids per 1 teacher (respecting thus the ratio for this specific age group) with a waiting list for additional applications. The 2nd teacher would be reintroduced once the desired number of students was reached. In September we have 8 children; some want to stay for an extended period of time;
Parent participation: one parent would be present at the location every day in order to assist the teacher whenever needed;
A (more aggressive) marketing campaign: almost nobody knows the pre-school exists. At the Almere Gemeente website, as an example, there is no mention of this pre-school at all. We recommended an open day every quarter, marketed across expat groups and forums, informing everyone about the school and its benefits, in order to boost applications. The first open day could be held in July before the expected end of school. The parents were willing to help advertising not only the pre-school but also the open day;
If feasible, opening a BSO at the location in the afternoons to boost profits and somehow compensate for the pre-school lowest months;
Partou believes these suggestions are good, but the rent is still too high. The parents have tried to get a reaction from the Gemeente, but haven't managed to get one yet. We do not ask for subsidies, but the Gemeente has a say in this matter. We are sure that "where there is a will, there is a way".
There are no bilingual pre-schools or centers where English can be taught to children of these ages, so we will keep on looking into all possibilities to keep this facility open.
Plastic inzamelen levert een beperkte milieuwinst heeft het Centraal Cultureel Planbureau onderzocht. Ze schreven in een persbericht "innovaties geboden" maar volgens mij is de boodschap duidelijk en sterk.
Statiegeld! Gelukkig staat dat ook in de conclusie van de notitie: "het statiegeldsysteem kan worden uitgebreid."
Met grote verbazing las ik het krantenbericht dat IOC-lid Camiel Eurlings schijnbaar moeiteloos een VOG heeft gekregen, ondanks het feit dat hij een schikking met het OM heeft getroffen inzake huiselijk geweld. Als bestuurder en vrijwilliger bij een voetbalvereniging vind ik dit onbestaanbaar. Niet alleen als ouder, maar ook als samenleving moeten we erop kunnen vertrouwen dat er een juiste screening plaatsvind.
En huiselijk geweld past niet in de sport. Het enkele feit dat de heer Eurlings zich bij het IOC niet zal bezighouden met vrouwen en kinderen doet daar niets aan af. De heer Eurlings heeft een internationale voorbeeldfunctie en daar past huiselijk geweld absoluut niet in!
Fantastisch nieuws! De zoveelste aanslag op onze schitterende polder is van tafel. Niemand weet voor hoe lang, maar voorlopig heeft de Provincie de gemeente Alphen aan den Rijn teruggefloten.
Of het aan ons protest heeft gelegen is niet duidelijk, maar stiekem ga ik er maar vanuit dat het heeft meegeholpen. Superbedankt iedereen. Kom een keer langs op Dorpsstraat 17, Koudekerk, om dit mooie beeld in het echt te zien. Iedereen die heeft meegeholpen trakteer ik op een bakkie koffie!

Zou het een al te kwalijke indruk kunnen maken, dat we de meest educatieve "tornadoproeven" op vliegtuigen slechts als een al te imbeciele "tornadodierentuin" met Bijlmerrampen op hoofdsteden kunnen staan te ontkennen, en zelfs nog als waanidee in onze rechtbanken af kunnen blijven staan te doen, en zou de net zo terroristische verheling daarvan als een valse "tornadolellebel of zo en -slangenkuil" te veel kwaad bloed kunnen staan te zetten?!.

Aanleiding is het manifest van de wethouders.

Morgen is weer een goed moment om tegen de korting op de wajong te strijden.
Zoals je zelf schrijft: het gaat zo goed met NL, maar de Wajonger is de klos.

"Volgens het ministerie gaat slechts 1 procent van de huishoudens er meer dan 2 procent op achteruit. Het gaat dan vooral om een groep mensen met een Wajong-uitkering, die wel deels zouden kunnen werken.
Want hun uitkering gaat omlaag van 75 naar 70 procent van het minimumloon." Het kabinet stelt de zaken weer eens te mooi voor ("niemand gaat erop achteruit"). De Wajongers zijn keihard de klos. Morgen 16:30 (bij het debat over de participatiewet) dien ik een motie in om deze strafkorting van tafel te halen.
