Museum het Schip met bijzondere cultuurhistorische waarde gered

De gemeenteraad van Amsterdam heeft besloten uitvoering aan motie 1412 te geven en een passend bedrag vrij te maken voor Museum Het Schip (en het Amsterdamse Bostheater), omdat het hier gaat om instellingen met een bijzondere cultuurhistorische waarde. Het zijn plekken die alleen tot hun recht komen met een passende programmering, waarmee ze een breed publiek bereiken.
Museum Het Schip is wereldberoemd. Het is gehuisvest in een prachtig woningbouwcomplex in de Spaarndammerbuurt, dat werd ontworpen door Michel de Klerk. Het museum vertelt een veelheid aan verhalen, en maakt bezoekers deelgenoot van een rijke geschiedenis. Verhalen, niet alleen over ontwerpen, stenen en bouwen, maar ook over sociale geschiedenis. Over woningbouw en volkshuisvesting, waarvan het denken hand in hand ging met idealen als het streven naar gelijkheid en naar verheffing. Het is een plek waar het verleden zich verbindt met het heden. Museum Het Schip vervult daarnaast een netwerkfunctie over bouwen in de stijl van de Amsterdamse school. Er worden vele schoolklassen rondgeleid. Het museum werkt onder andere samen met musea in Duitsland en Japan en weet zich gesteund door bijvoorbeeld de Getty Foundation in Los Angeles.
Voor Museum Het Schip geldt dat het AFK de aanvraag als realistisch en passend heeft beoordeeld. De gevraagde subsidie is gedeeltelijk toegekend, omdat het budget voorde discipline erfgoed binnen het budget voor het Kunstenplan niet toereikend is. Het college heeft besloten een aanvullend budget toe te kennen aan Museum het Schip voor de periode 2021-2024 van gemiddeld circa € 150.000 per jaar en de uitvoering hiervan in handen te stellen van het AFK. THE ANSWER
The City Council of Amsterdam has decided to implement motion 1412 and to make an appropriate amount available for Museum Het Schip (and the Amsterdamse Bostheater), because these are institutions with a special cultural-historical value. Biologische boeren en tuinders werken gentech-vrij en willen dat graag blijven doen. Maar de gentech-lobby van bedrijven zoals Monsanto is sterk.
Op woensdag 25 februari besteedt het TV-programma ZEMBLA hier aandacht aan, om 20:25 uur op NPO2. Hieronder zie je de aankondiging van de makers van het programma: Zembla Internationaal presenteert: 'De Gen-tech lobby'. Een reportage van de veelvuldig onderscheiden Franse onderzoeksjournalist Paul Moreira. Moreira volgt de succesvolle lobby van de bedrijven die handelen in genetisch gemodificeerd voedsel en in pesticiden. Een van de concerns die hij onder de loep neemt, is de Amerikaanse multinational Monsanto, bekend van het omstreden bestrijdingsmiddel RoundUp. Moreira doet onderzoek in Argentinië, waar op grote schaal gemodificeerde gewassen van Monsanto worden verbouwd. Daarbij wordt veel landbouwgif gebruikt. Het valt hem op dat juist in die gebieden steeds meer kinderen met genetische afwijkingen worden geboren. De Argentijnse bevolking maakt zich zorgen over een mogelijk verband tussen bestrijdingsmiddelen en gezondheidseffecten. In Europa gelden strenge beperkingen voor het verbouwen van genetisch gemanipuleerde gewassen. Maar gen-tech bedrijven zoals Monsanto zijn momenteel stevig aan het lobbyen over het versoepelen van die regels. Met een trans-Atlantisch vrij handelsverdrag in aantocht zouden ze dat wel eens voor elkaar kunnen krijgen.

De Staat van StasseHOGER BEROEP
Op 30 APRIL wordt het Hoger Beroep behandeld in zake de verleende omgevingsvergunning aan de Tobiasschool. De school neemt al reusachtige vormen aan en onze binnenterrein is nu al definitief onherstelbaar veranderd met deze nieuwbouw. Zelfs al winnen we alsnog het Hoger Beroep, moeten we realistisch zijn: de nieuwbouw van de school zal niet meer afgebroken worden. We zijn benieuwd wat de uitspraak is in deze. Mochten we uiteindelijk de zaak verliezen, dan houdt dit wellicht voor een ieder om een omgevingsvergunning met afwijking van het bestemmingsplan binnentuinenbeleid Hoofddorppleinbuurt te krijgen.Men kan dan altijd verwijzen naar deze buitenproportionele afwijking. Het blijft vreemd om de Ruimtelijke Ordening adviseur Remco Jutstra van stadsdeel Zuid te horen spreken over tegengaan van het volbouwen van de binnentuinen en het behoud van de "zichtlijnen" in de binnentuinen en vervolgens dit toegestane bouwwerk te aanschouwen... .

Ingezonden brief in Het Parool en op Amsterdam Centraal: Parkeren in de openbare ruimte
In de discussie over de volle stad wordt de olifant in de kamer vaak niet benoemd. Ja, stilstaande auto's zijn een probleem, maar heb het dan ook over de parkeervergunningen.
Door dit asociale privilege kan een minderheid van Amsterdammers voor een koopje de openbare ruimte disproportioneel bezetten. Als het sneeuwt, wordt pijnlijk zichtbaar dat veel geparkeerde auto's lang stilstaan. Laat ze de straatprijs betalen! Het wordt dan goedkoper een valetparkingdienst die de auto buiten de ring parkeert te nemen of een Car2Go naar je geparkeerde auto. Leg een autoschip bij de Petroleumhavenweg en je hebt in één klap een derde van de parkeerplaatsen in het centrum erbij.
