The parents of the children attending the pre-school in the premises of the IPSA (International Primary School Almere) can all attest how extraordinary the teachers have been in terms of educating, caring and nurturing our children, but we also understand the financial reasons behind this business decision (less pupils in the waiting list + a high rent), which is why we proposed the current provider, Partou, to consider these alternatives before closing the pre-school:
Starting from September, opening the pre-school with 8 kids per 1 teacher (respecting thus the ratio for this specific age group) with a waiting list for additional applications. The 2nd teacher would be reintroduced once the desired number of students was reached. In September we have 8 children; some want to stay for an extended period of time;
Parent participation: one parent would be present at the location every day in order to assist the teacher whenever needed;
A (more aggressive) marketing campaign: almost nobody knows the pre-school exists. At the Almere Gemeente website, as an example, there is no mention of this pre-school at all. We recommended an open day every quarter, marketed across expat groups and forums, informing everyone about the school and its benefits, in order to boost applications. The first open day could be held in July before the expected end of school. The parents were willing to help advertising not only the pre-school but also the open day;
If feasible, opening a BSO at the location in the afternoons to boost profits and somehow compensate for the pre-school lowest months;
Partou believes these suggestions are good, but the rent is still too high. The parents have tried to get a reaction from the Gemeente, but haven't managed to get one yet. We do not ask for subsidies, but the Gemeente has a say in this matter. We are sure that "where there is a will, there is a way".
There are no bilingual pre-schools or centers where English can be taught to children of these ages, so we will keep on looking into all possibilities to keep this facility open.
Inmiddels hebben al bijna 3100 mensen de petitie ondertekend! We hopen nu dat er zoveel mogelijk mensen aanwezig willen zijn bij de overhandiging van deze tussenstand van de petitie aan het college van burgemeester en wethouders. We doen dit donderdagavond 30 januari om 19.15 uur op het gemeentehuis van Doetinchem.
We verzamelen die avond vanaf 19.05 uur bij de ingang van het gemeentehuis. Hopelijk zien we u daar, en hartelijk dank voor alle hulp tot nu toe!

Bijna niet te bevatten maar we gaan stabiel af op de 600 ondertekeningen. Afgelopen woensdag zijn we al in gesprek gegaan met de wethouder Hans Boerkamp.
Samen zullen we sterker gaan onderhandelen en het best haalbare scenario voor Rhenen uit de onderhandelingen slepen. Daarvoor gaan wij de komende maanden aan de bak om een beter beeld te krijgen waar de meesten van jullie nou naartoe reizen en hoe deze locaties beter bereikbaar kunnen worden. Op deze manier willen we juist laten zien dat goede verbindingen cruciaal zijn om mensen de bus te laten nemen. Niet schrappen maar aanpakken dus! We houden jullie op de hoogte
Wij hebben heuglijk nieuws. Dinsdag 28 januari 2020 mogen wij in de Tweede Kamer onze petitie aanbieden aan de commissie Binnenlandse Zaken.
Op tweedekamer.nl staat dat op 28 januari 2020 van 13:30 tot 13:45 de petitie 'De overheid is voor iedereen, dus neutraal!' in de Statenpassage overhandigd wordt aan de Kamercommissie voor Binnenlandse Zaken.

Margreeth de Landgraaf is een petitie gestart tegen de bomenkap tussen Hilversum en Hollandsche Rading door het Goois Natuur Reservaat (GNR).
Het ging in eerste instantie om 80.000 bomen die (...) lees verder.
Een update.. Het spelen van het Nederlandse volkied moet ten aller tijde tijdens ceremoniële herdenkingen in Nederland voorrang hebben op het Europese lied!!
Daar wij Nederlanders zijn en zullen en willen graag deze Traditie in eren houden !

In een Facebook bericht vanuit de gemeente Alphen is aangekondigd dat de baan gerepareerd wordt na het zwaar beschadigd raken door zwaar vuurwerk in tegenstelling tot eerdere berichten dat het verwijderd zal worden.
De petitie is derhalve niet langer nodig.
De gemeente:
"Het skatepark in Park Zegersloot Noord is door vandalisme (zwaar vuurwerk) zwaar beschadigd. Twee skatebanen worden morgen afgesloten om verdere beschadigingen te voorkomen. Nader onderzoek heeft uitgewezen dat de twee skatebanen gerepareerd kunnen worden. Deze werkzaamheden worden zo spoedig mogelijk uitgevoerd.
Alle voorbereidingen hiervoor zijn getroffen. In tegenstelling tot eerdere berichten worden ze niet verwijderd."
A new study (2016) has discovered nanoparticles of metal are already present in human brains. The name of the study is Magnetite in the human body: Biogenic vs.
anthropogenic. Researchers from the UK, Mexico, Scotland and America discovered that “high temperature magnetite spheres” which are less an 200 nanometers (NM) in diameter can “enter the brain directly through the olfactory nerve.” The study says that magnetite is an airborne matter that found in urban areas, and these particles result from “combustion” or high heating.
