Museum het Schip met bijzondere cultuurhistorische waarde gered

De gemeenteraad van Amsterdam heeft besloten uitvoering aan motie 1412 te geven en een passend bedrag vrij te maken voor Museum Het Schip (en het Amsterdamse Bostheater), omdat het hier gaat om instellingen met een bijzondere cultuurhistorische waarde. Het zijn plekken die alleen tot hun recht komen met een passende programmering, waarmee ze een breed publiek bereiken.
Museum Het Schip is wereldberoemd. Het is gehuisvest in een prachtig woningbouwcomplex in de Spaarndammerbuurt, dat werd ontworpen door Michel de Klerk. Het museum vertelt een veelheid aan verhalen, en maakt bezoekers deelgenoot van een rijke geschiedenis. Verhalen, niet alleen over ontwerpen, stenen en bouwen, maar ook over sociale geschiedenis. Over woningbouw en volkshuisvesting, waarvan het denken hand in hand ging met idealen als het streven naar gelijkheid en naar verheffing. Het is een plek waar het verleden zich verbindt met het heden. Museum Het Schip vervult daarnaast een netwerkfunctie over bouwen in de stijl van de Amsterdamse school. Er worden vele schoolklassen rondgeleid. Het museum werkt onder andere samen met musea in Duitsland en Japan en weet zich gesteund door bijvoorbeeld de Getty Foundation in Los Angeles.
Voor Museum Het Schip geldt dat het AFK de aanvraag als realistisch en passend heeft beoordeeld. De gevraagde subsidie is gedeeltelijk toegekend, omdat het budget voorde discipline erfgoed binnen het budget voor het Kunstenplan niet toereikend is. Het college heeft besloten een aanvullend budget toe te kennen aan Museum het Schip voor de periode 2021-2024 van gemiddeld circa € 150.000 per jaar en de uitvoering hiervan in handen te stellen van het AFK. THE ANSWER
The City Council of Amsterdam has decided to implement motion 1412 and to make an appropriate amount available for Museum Het Schip (and the Amsterdamse Bostheater), because these are institutions with a special cultural-historical value. They are places that only come into their own with an appropriate programme that reaches a broad public.
Museum Het Schip is world famous. It is housed in a beautiful housing complex in the Spaarndammerbuurt that was designed by Michel de Klerk. The museum tells a multitude of stories, and allows visitors to share in a rich history. Stories not just about designing, bricks and mortar, but also about social history. About housing construction and public housing, whose thinking went hand in hand with ideals such as the pursuit of equality and elevation. It is a place where the past connects with the present. Museum Het Schip also fulfils a network function on building in the style of the Amsterdam School. Many school classes are given guided tours. The museum collaborates with museums in Germany and Japan and is supported by the Getty Foundation in Los Angeles, for example.
For Museum Het Schip, the AFK assessed the application as realistic and appropriate. PRESS RELEASE Petition handed over
Petition Coen back in Jakarta Today a petition was handed over to the Indonesian ambassador in Den Haag (The Hague) calling on the Indonesian government to put the statue of former gouverneur-generaal J.P. Coen back on its pedestal in Jakarta, and to help the Dutch government in the repatriation of the physical remains of J.P. Coen.
The petition Coen back was signed by 702 people. In 1942, while Holland suffered from the occupation of Hitler-Germany, the Japanese destroyed the glorious statue of J.P. Coen in Jakarta (by then known as Batavia). This was an act of historical and cultural barbarism that never has been rectified. In 2011 the statue of J.P. Coen in Hoorn, Holland, fell down from its pedestal. The city council renewed the statue and put it back in its place, on the main square of Hoorn, with the tacit approval of the Dutch government and parliament. The Indonesian people should do what the Dutch have done: Put J.P.s statue back in Jakarta! The statues of Coen in Hoorn and Batavia are of a high educational value. They remind us of the wealth Coens VOC, the worlds first multinational, has brought the Dutch and of the crucial role Holland has played in Indonesia. Without J.P. Coen there wouldnt have been the Dutch Indies. And without the Dutch Indies, there never would have been Indonesia. Furthermore the committee Vrienden van Coen (CVC) pleads for a state funeral of J.P. Coen. Coens grave in the Wajang Museum in Jakarta has no dignity. Coens physical remains should be moved to Holland. After all these years of negligence, Coen should get a state funeral and a national memorial tomb in Amsterdam or The Hague. Bring home our national hero! CVC calls upon the Indonesian and Dutch government to reach this goal. CVC has currently entered into discussions in confidence with Dutch members of parliament to persuade the Rutte administration to put the repatriation scenario into action. CVC thinks the Dutch government could contribute to the costs to make a replica of the Coen-statue in Jakarta and to transport Coens physical remains. This contribution can be taken from the Dutch-Indonesian development funds. We know for certain many will welcome our goals. Coen is more popular than ever. A petition to put the fallen Coen-statue in Hoorn back on its pedestal gained far more support than the petition to move it to a museum. In reaction to the downfall of the statue last year, many historians have stressed the importance of Coen to our national history. Even left-wing Dutch newspapers like Trouw and NRC and left-wing historians like Maarten van Rossem have supported the Hoorn city council in putting the fallen statue back on its pedestal of honour. Furthermore the city of Hoorn has brought out a glossy called COEN! in honor of the Dutch hero. For centuries Coen has been criticised for the way he dealt with the rebellion on the Indonesian Banda-islands. Modern research has falsified these critical notes. Please read Coens eerherstel (1942) and Coen op Banda: De conqueste getoetst aan het recht van den tijd (1943), written by W.F. Gerretson and Lucas Kiers, both historians of the University of Utrecht. Coen handled properly. He couldnt have reacted different. He did not commit genocide, like the city council of Hoorn rightly declares. He led an armed attack against Banda, since the Bandanese people didnt keep their promises. They traded nutmeg with the English, which was forbidden by Coens VOC. According to former director Ruud Spruit of the WestFries Museum in Hoorn (http://www.waterschapshuis.com/) Indonesians think J.P. Coen is a hero too. Spruit remembers that his Indonesian guests always immediately asked for the statue of J.P. Coen and wanted to be photographed in front of it. The committee Vrienden van Coen (CVC) thinks the reinstallment of the Coen-statue in Batavia and a state funeral of Coen in Holland are logical consequences of the facts listed above. Woordvoerder kunst van de SP, Jasper van Dijk: "De SP is van begin af aan tegenstander geweest van de BTW-verhoging op beeldende kunsten. Wij staan voor een breed en toegankelijk aanbod van kunst en cultuur.
De beeldend kunstenaar moet kansen krijgen om zijn werk te verkopen. Het afgelopen kabinet heeft veel kapot gemaakt in de cultuursector. Wat de SP betreft herstelt de nieuwe regering de schade zoveel mogelijk en wordt ingezet op een bloeiend cultuuraanbod."

"De discussie over IVF heeft geen directe raakvlakken met onze kernpunten. De vraag hoe we hiernaar zouden moeten kijken zou een goede stelling zijn voor ons LQFB-systeem.
Iedereen die langer dan één maand lid is van de partij heeft toegang tot dit systeem en kan daar stellingen aanmaken. We willen je graag uitnodigen deze stelling daar aan te brengen."

De SP wil drie IVF pogingen in het verzekerde pakket houden om zowel medische als sociale redenen. Voorkomen moet worden dat zwanger worden in moeilijke situaties slechts voorbehouden is aan mensen die het kunnen betalen.
Tevens bestaat er bij het vergoeden van 1 IVF behandeling het risico dat artsen meerdere bevruchte eicellen zullen terugplaatsen om de kans op zwangerschap te vergroten. Hierdoor neemt de kans op meerlingzwangerschappen toe, die weer een verhoogd medisch risico inhouden. Dit vindt de SP ongewenst.
SPReactie van SP op "Toekomstig arts wordt gekortwiekt"
De SP steunt de petitie en we zijn tegen de eigen betaling van de opleiding tot specialist. Onderwijs en opleiding moeten voor iedereen toegankelijk zijn.
Daarbij passen geen financiële drempels. De SP vindt dat onderwijs uit publieke middelen moet worden betaald. Als artsen later als ze klaar zijn met hun opleiding een hoog inkomen verdienen, dan dragen ze via een fair progressief belastingstelsel bij om toegankelijk onderwijs voor hun opvolgers mogelijk te maken.
SPLuchtvaart legt bom onder uitbreiding Schiphol
Schiphol geeft te veel prioriteit aan vakantievluchten en daarmee komt de uitbreiding van de luchthaven in gevaar. Dat schrijft het Financieele Dagblad vandaag. In de luchtvaartsector is onenigheid ontstaan over de naleving van afspraken uit het zogeheten Aldersakkoord over de groei van Schiphol.
