For the upcoming testing period, NHL-Stenden has announced that they will demand students to download the Proctor exam app, in order to use our cell phones as a second monitoring camera. This measurement is disproportionate and an unacceptable attack on student privacy.
We are concerned students that worry about the ongoing violation of our privacy.
We are already sacrificing much of our privacy by allowing Proctor to use room scans (which is an invasion of privacy itself by providing recordings of your own personal space) and by letting them monitor our screen, eye-movements, microphone, and sound. Now, the school wants to take it even a step further and force us to install and use the Proctor mobile app which can monitor EVERY movement you make from every angle throughout the test.
We strongly request NHL-Stenden to repeal the obligation to download and use the Proctor app in order to make a test.
