Implementation of Ask for Angela in Middelburg
Ask for Angela is a campaign that can be used by bars and other venues to keep customers safe from sexual assault and violence. Customers can 'ask for Angela' at the bar, as a discreet code word when feeling unsafe, uncomfortable or threatened. We want to implement this campaign in Middelburg.

establish that:
A lot of confusion under customers and (international) students on what to do when feeling unsafe, threatened or uncomfortable. This is paired with regular cases of unsafe situations that emerge within the bars in Middelburg. This is why, as Not Your Honey, we have been working on the Ask for Angela campaign for the past year. We believe that this campaign can help make nightlife in Middelburg safer for all.

The municipality to approve the Ask for Angela campaign and work together with Not Your Honey to implement it. Most work has already been done by Not Your Honey, we simply need to find out how we can best work together with the municipality. As Not Your Honey, we have already been in contact with most bars in the city about the campaign, which means that the campaign can be realized quickly.
