Grade the multiple choice exams at ANS clear and fair

We

students

establish that:

• it has come to our attention, through our own discovery and not through the word of any examiner, that the ANS exam system automatically deducts points from Multiple Choice Questions under the name "guess estimation".
• the way this is calculated is unclear, the points it deducts are never stated on official exams and us students have never been informed about its existence directly.
• this makes fair and honest grading impossible, we deserve better.

and request

• clearer communication to the students about programs like the "guess correction". We want to be informed of how grades are comprised, why points are deducted.
• a transparent way of grading, the use of an algorithm is unclear and unfair. We value the human mind over an algorithm, and expect the same of the university. The reduction of points through this system benefits no-one.
