Een 'green card' krijgen in de VS duurt lang. In de tussentijd kun je werken, belasting betalen, naar school gaan enzovoort en dat is legaal. Dus stop met het opjagen van mensen, zelfs als ze de juiste documenten hebben, alleen maar omdat het kan. ICE heeft zijn oorspronkelijke mandaat op extreme wijze overschreden. u als ambassadeur een echte vertegenwoordiger van àlle Amerikaanse burgers te zijn en uw regering te vragen om te stoppen met het gebruik van geweld tegen burgers.

Deze tekst heb ik als petitionaris gestuurd naar de ambassadeur van de VS:

I establish that peace is not only a state of not having war. For peace it is also necessary that everyone in a country can live in a safe surrounding. That no one is hunted if they live in peace with others. Being undocumented does not make you a violent criminal. Especially a country built on immigrants must realise that your ancestors if not being brought as slave, have mostly left their country for economic reasons.
I understand an ambassador is appointed by the current president. Do not act like 'Wir haben es nicht gewußt'. This argument used after the second world war is in these times with direct global communication not valuable at all. We all know your government acts more and more as a dictator and his followers. Hope you will be a real representative of all American citizens and will tell your government to stop using violence against any citizen.
Getting a green card in the USA takes a long time. In the meantime you can work, pay tax, go to school etc and it is legal to do so. So stop hunting people even with the right documents, only because you can do so. ICE has trespassed their original mandate in extremes. Stop supporting ICE.
